oooh good lord.. This took me a collective of about 50 hours... I never spend that much time on anything.... I feel tired and irritated and overworked.. but I'm all around proud with the way I colored this line art. The line art isn't mine but I saw it and I just had to color it.. It was too gorgeous not too.. I really hope that she doesn't mind the slight edit to the apple that I made.. I just really wanted to do the poison apple from snow white... I still have the same girls with a blank apple if I have to change it back to what it was... I also kept the original line art trace because the random colors that I used to trace it out actually look really cool together and I decided to color that one too
. Well after I get permission to color a second one of these... She's a really amazing artist though so be sure to click the link that I'm providing for the lineart and check out her gallery...
No lets see commentary on the picture would be that after I was halfway through shading I realised I had mad a slytherin and gryffindor girl. >.< It kind of funny though.. I guess I just prefer those colors together . Also the hair for the girl on the left is based off a style I had a few months back.. I just wanted to color it out one day. Plus it suited what I saw in this line art.. The coloring for the girl on the right is loosely based on my friend Ell.... But this was challenging and frustrating and really aggravating but it was fun and it helped develop my skills in digitally coloring silkish/satin looking things .. atleast it's suppose to be I think I succeeded rather well.. The hardest part had to be retracing the lace... that stuff is intricate.
